Zayo recently announced the acquisition of Geo Networks, expanding their network and range of solutions available to customers from both companies. The acquisition followed the announced acquisition of Neo Telecoms. With their combined assets, Zayo connects a deep United Kingdom footprint with fiber and colocation in France, connectivity to Amsterdam and Frankfurt, and extensive fibre throughout the United States.
Like Geo, Zayo is focused on providing fibre-based bandwidth infrastructure services. They offer dark fibre throughout much of their network and continue to offer it everywhere in the UK where they have available inventory.
Zayo is integrating Geo’s network with its existing London dark fibre network, and expanding the services available to include DWDM, Ethernet, IP and SONET.
Flomatik has previously supported Geo in a number of deep-fibre initiatives.
