Gigaclear

gigaclearGigaclear founded in 2010 to respond to demand from rural communities in the UK left behind by high speed broadband roll-out in large cities. The company is laying new fibre to offer 1Gb symmetric access, which represents an impressive leap forward from the service currently available in many less populous areas.

Construction started in the first area selected, Hambleton in Rutland, in September 2011, and the work was completed impressively quickly; On October 29th, the local hotel hosted a launch party to celebrate the occasion of the village joining the digital revolution.

To move as quickly as possible from inception to revenue generating, this fast and smooth implementation process was critical to Gigaclear's success. By engaging Flomatik early in the business life, they were able to take full advantage of the company's experience of the planning and implementation of multiple networks, and ensure their own benefited from Flomatik's expertise.

A relatively modest amount of consultancy time, spent with people whose industry knowledge stretches back for more than two decades, was a genuine boost to a new and dynamic business.

Gigaclear will continue to work with Flomatik to support the process of identifying new areas for development, the practicalities of laying a fibre network, and bringing their customers the maximum possible benefits from their service.
