Until it’s acquisition by Google earlier in 2011, Motorola Mobility was part of Motorola Inc, and the company has a long history as a technology pioneer, manufacturing televisions from as early as 1947 and working with Cisco and BT Cellnet to build the world’s first commercial GPRS cellular network in the UK.

Their product offering includes wireless network infrastructure equipment, including base stations and amplifiers, and also products for the cable television industry first in the US and then across the world. These include set-top boxes and digital video recorders targeted at end users, and network equipment used to enable video broadcasting, computer telephony, and high-definition television from the head-end to the fibre optic transmission nodes.

Flomatik’s engineering team has broad experience of working across the Motorola product range which features broadband CMTS platforms, video headend equipment, video and data transmission equipment and storage / playout solutions for On-demand. As well as supporting Motolora with specilialist resources, Flomatik has provided specialist consulting to Motorola in the pre-Sales phase of a number of high profile bids to Virgin Media relating to On-Demand and network amplifiers for HFC.
