Flomatik have completed the fundamental planning for the TalkTalk NextGen FTTH broadband network trial in York. The Ultra Fibre Optic (UFO) trial, delivering 940 Mbts to each user will be extended to 40 000 further homes over the next two years.
Flomatik provided an experienced bespoke survey and planning team to complete the project; including GIS database set-up and the delivery of a resilient and efficient civil fibre trunk network, enabling TalkTalk to provide access across York. Working within TalkTalk’s Project Governance, the quality of Flomatik’s project management and stakeholder engagement, was paramount.
Strategic recommendations featured in our comprehensive fundamental planning report to include in excess of 40 000 homes, allowing TalkTalk to proceed to detailed planning.
“Flomatik are delighted to bring our extensive FTTP design experience and our own software automation to planning TalkTalk’s own FTTH network in York. We support the activities that bring world class broadband quality to both metropolitan and regional areas of the UK.”
Getting the planning right is key to the success of every next generation network, so we welcome this opportunity to partner with TalkTalk to deliver ultra fast broadband to York.
