Flomatik FTTH Demo Room ready for visitors

Flomatik Demo Room Minworth

In a joint collaboration with Teleste, Flomatik Network Services has custom built an FTTH demonstration, training and meeting facility in our Minworth office.

Showcasing Flomatik’s Consult, Design, Build and Operate services, we’re thrilled with our new space and would like to welcome our customers and partners to come and experience the room. The Demo Room displays optical passive components from Teleste and some of the UK’s leading suppliers, Emtelle, HellermannTyton, and Corning. Visitors have access to every element of an FTTH network build including a duct and pole sample of PIA.

Stewart Pert, Account Director said “The initial idea for the Demo Room was to show the tangible build of an FTTH network from a product point of view, but also how each fit together from the duct and street cabinet, right into the home router. We’re really pleased with the finished result. It’s already helped bring to life the fibre infrastructure that ambitious Altnets are looking to plan and build. They’re able to see what’s involved and what passives they need to consider from the outset.”

Contact Stewart Pert to organise a visit and experience the Demo Room. We’d love to see you!

Make informed decisions when FttX network planning

Planning expertise Flomatik
Planning expertise is crucial when building fibre networks. Laurie Veitch-Clark, Flomatik’s Senior Planning Manager, presented the benefits of conducting an Opportunity Analysis (OA) at a recent INCA event – Network Trends for the Independent Network.

The OA – an internal report produced using real data, automation and manual planning expertise, has already helped CSPs make informed decisions when planning fibre network builds.

Since the analysis shows where PIA can be used within scope too, it allows CSPs to see which areas to build first and what architecture to deploy. Conducting an Opportunity Analysis helps reduce costs and bring faster returns, for any sized CSP wanting to build their own networks.
