Flomatik CEO Dean Checkley to deliver keynote session at Channel Live
- 21 Mar 2023
Dean Checkley boasts a vast and varied career portfolio in the telecoms and broadcast industry — starting as an apprentice at GEC Telecommunications 35 years ago, where he studied Communications and Electronics to HND level.
During this time, Dean transitioned from being technically focused — working on both PDH/SDH transmission equipment, as well as PSTN switches such as Marconi’s System X and Nortels DMS-100 — to developing a role in people management across a number of senior positions.
This includes roles with the likes of Airwave, Virgin Media WiFi, Airband, and currently Flomatik — where his creative and strategic eye sees him lead the team with a refreshingly personable, and truly purposeful, approach.
Armed with such experience, Dean is therefore perfectly placed to deliver insight at the UK’s largest channel exhibition, Channel Live, later this month. Delving deeper into the topic of ‘measuring sustainable metrics and channel priorities’, the keynote session will explore the role eco-credentials play when attracting new talent, how to make the workplace greener, and the considerations to be had during mergers and acquisitions.
Hosted at the NEC in Birmingham on 29th-30th March, the event has cemented itself as a must attend destination for resellers, network operators, and MSPs who are looking to connect with vendors, distributors, and service providers. With direct access to leading light players and opportunities, delegates are empowered to discover how new and evolving technology can bolster current portfolios and future business growth.
Plus, new to 2023, all visitors are invited to join Channel Live’s post-show networking events that will take place on the evening of Wednesday 29th — the perfect place to unwind and continue making connections in a more relaxed environment.
Commenting on the opportunity to join the speaker line-up, Dean said: “It is an honour to be involved in Channel Live 2023, and a privilege to be asked to speak at the event.
“As a business leader, sustainability and social responsibilities are core to my values, and I’m so happy to share my thoughts on these themes to the wider tech and telecoms sectors. I hope I can provide some insight and help the audience to really dig deep — considering what they can do to inspire their own organisation’s sustainability agenda.”
If you’re keen to catch the insight from Dean, you can find him in Theatre 2 at 12:30pm on Thursday 30th March. Register for the event, for free, here.
