The Brief
Persimmon Group, one of the UK’s leading housebuilders, had a remit to deliver fibre with every home at every new development. But the Group’s dependence on BT and Virgin Media to install networks was adding a layer of complexity to the process.
The Group created FibreNest: a wholly owned ISP to provide Fibre-to-the-Property across the UK. But with new developments happening on a huge scale, they needed a fast, focused partner to deliver specialist fibre network planning and design.

Back in 2017, greenfield fibre planning was a new way to use our proven expertise in fibre – and share everything we knew about the nuances of complex telco civils. We led FibreNest through every step of the process, from developing key systems and service architectures to producing plans for individual sites.
We were also able to support FibreNest with our innovative QGIS developments: a way to make informed, data-driven decisions when traditional OS premise data is lacking. Ultimately, we made precise planning and intelligent design the foundation for FibreNest’s growth.
